Matinee Gloves II

Matinee Gloves II by Ficus Interfaith is a framed terrazzo hanging wall work depicting a sewing pattern for three matinee gloves with a heart at the center. In rose and cream hues, the work evokes notions of ceremony and formality, as the gloves are artifacts adorned for a special occasion. The depiction of the garments also allude to a “joining of hands” reminiscent of hand-holding or acts of nurturing affection.
