George III Demilune Card Table

This elegant mahogany 18th century George III Demilune Card Table is adorned with elegant inlaid details such as festoons of garland and buoyant bows, demonstrating the neoclassical influence of the period. The table unfolds to reveal a chartreuse baize, much like those found on the surfaces of pool or poker tables. The top exhibits a fair amount of patina, as it most likely bore witness to exuberant and raucous card playing. When not in use for play, it can be placed folded against a wall.
