Simple and somber with its minimal silhouette, this elegant English oak hall chair is hand carved with abstract floral and animal motifs. The year and initials of the maker are carefully carved into a singular centered heart on the top of the backrest. The folk art chair was well loved, cared for and repaired, exhibiting a mature patina and an added stretcher that illustrates both its functional and familial importance.
