Green Tipped Lamp

Nick Poe

Nick Poe’s Green Tipped Lamp is composed of an Eastern Turkish terracotta pot from the 1820s. Naturally adorned with velvety moss, the base of the work anchors an elongated cotton electrical cord, attaching to an elegant French milk glass shade from the 1930s. The complete series is a study in the recontextualization of naturally found treasure, as well as the way in which these lighting forms can intervene and unite space architecturally.
