Inspired by artists like Alberto Giacometti, Robert Mallet-Stevens and Jean Cocteau, Rooms Studio’s Cast Shadows Wall Light similarly explores the articulation of the human hand, an enduring motif throughout cultural history. Forging their own interpretation, the duo pushes this concept forward in their proprietary brutalist and monumental visual language. Composed of cast aluminum, the designer George Mastak contributed custom engraved textual narratives in both Georgian and English.
A formidable ode to transformation and an emblematic call for revolt, the piece quietly seethes with an irreverent and ironic undertone.
