The artist conceives her objects as companions with an inherent sense of autonomy and presence — sometimes dressed or adorned, evoking a quiet intimacy. Each piece is individually crafted by hand in her Cologne studio, shaped through a process akin to tailoring. 6 Winged Bird is a music box; the soothing melody begins when the tiger eye pearl is gently pulled from the sun-shaped steel form.
