Pearl Vanity Set

Zoé Mohm is a Paris based jeweler who works by combining her knowledge in textile craft, woodwork and jewelry to create intricate textures and stories throughout her work. Her Pearl Vanity Set consists of a small pillbox, hair comb and a clothes pin, which are intended to be strung together on a chain or cord. Made of iron wood from Cambodia (given to her by her father) speckled with silver, the circular forms are reminiscent of freshwater pearls in a petri dish. Mohm was inspired by Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany’s", specifically the theatrical scene when Holly Golightly dramatically gets dressed for Sing Sing.
