Table Plume (Feather Table),
Florence Provencher-Proulx originally worked in fashion as a designer and creative director. In 2020, she co-founded Bruises Gallery, bringing together contemporary art and collectibles from diverse eras. Creating narratives has been central to her practice, whether through curatorial work or through still life scenography. Her metal works extend this approach, primarily using reclaimed steel to design objects and furniture that oscillate between decorative art and functional sculpture, imbued with a dreamlike and theatrical quality.
Provencher-Proulx presents a selection of steel works that explore balance and the quiet tension between raw material and delicate lines. Echoing the architectural language of the circus big top, the Pavillon Trapèze Chair, Plume Table, and Plume Candle Holder embody her signature use of primitive forms and subtle contrasts.
