Lucilla d.23 Flexible Hook Lamp

Designed by the important Italian architect and designer Paulo Rizzatto, the Lucilla d.23 Flexible Hook Lamp was produced in 1994. Rizzatto is highly regarded for his pioneering lighting designs for Luceplan, the company which he founded with renowned designers Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Saveri in 1978. The lamp demonstrates an honest transparency in its industrial construction, consisting of a lightweight metal frame with a tangerine cotton canvas shade. When illuminated, light emanates from its center to elicit a rich, tomato-red glow. The rigid structure creates a firm skeleton for the fabric and allows for a variety of uses; the lamp can be placed on the floor, table or even attached to a bookshelf.
