Hand Table Lamp

The artist Bruno Rizzo's dexterious Hand Lamp rests into an elegantly composed posture. The artist became enamored with manipulating steel and copper mesh, finding that the delicate and lightweight material could be folded and sewn in many ways. Arranged in a state of pause or natural repose, Rizzo traced his own hand, cut it out, and then made indentations for the nails and veins, just as they appear in real life. Light gently seeps through perforated material, further enlivening the anthropomorphic work.
