Harking from New Jersey and produced between 1830-1840, this poplar painted blanket chest is simple yet visually stunning – both with regards to its decoration and also its functional construction. Adorned with an almost amphibious pattern of green and ochre, the chest also boasts an additional compartment inside to store (or hide) one’s treasures.
