The iconic “Windsor chair”, the style which originated in England in the mid- 18th century, became a fixture of the American design vernacular, with its many reproductions shortly thereafter. This historic example, constructed of oak, hickory, maple and pine, retains its original burgundy and black painted finish. Its solid seat displays a patina that demonstrates it was a chair once very well loved and used.
