Constructed in 1820, this blanket chest, made in New England, is constructed of pine with an alluring painted pattern.
It retains the original vinegar-grained paint with a till and lock that that are perfectly patinated. Historically, the use for blanket chests was for safely storing linens, though today they are perfect vessels for keepsakes or even objects worthy of admiration in their own right.
