Neoclassical Settee
This early 20th century bone-colored settee features a lattice back with painted palmette and acanthus leaf motifs in faded crimson. The seat is made of fragile caning which has been reinforced with an underlying layer of wood. The seat cushion (most likely made in the late 20th century) is upholstered with a pink botanical tulip pattern, and the cushion’s bottom, cord and ties are finished in a classic green and white ticking stripe.
