Feedsack Quilt
This quilt features a strong graphic field of diamond shapes forming a lattice over a soft sandy ground, now without its original border. It is made from feed sack cotton and backed with a homespun stripe. Chrome orange dye, common in late 19th-century textiles, adds contrast. Hand pieced and quilted, dense linear stitching follows the diagonal grid. There is some wear and sun fading, consistent with age. Suitable for bed or wall display.
