Echo Select I represents an aspiring facsimile far from its origin; scaled to a monumental size from its more diminutive origins, the work serves as tentative evidence of a record. The composition – assembled with silk, linen, antique French linen sheets and cotton thread – is loosely taken from a book cover, featuring a photograph of an antique Japanese fabric sampler page.
