LIVIO CASTIGLIONI AND GIANFRANCO FRATTINI FOR ARTEMIDE
The Boalum Light, designed by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini in 1970, is celebrated as an iconic and timeless contribution to the historical canon of Italian lighting design. Reminiscent of industrial tubing or piping, the snake-like form is made of translucent and malleable PVC and resin. Including four total attachments, this allows for a myriad of ways it can be draped over a table, curled on the ground, or even shaped into a knotted pretzel.
