This California Arts & Crafts Cutout Taboret is a beautiful example of the immensely popular craftsman or mission style furniture of the time, popularized by designers like Gustav Stickley. Made of Douglas Fir, the taboret retains its original finish and features an octagonal top, which rests on four sculpturally carved legs. The visible joinery and exposed metal hardware is typical of Arts & Crafts furniture, through its fine craftsmanship, the use of solemn, simple materials, and the honest display of its construction.
