Large Romanian Bessarabian Flat Kilim Rug

This stunning antique Romanian Bessarabian Kilim rug, woven most likely in the 1920s, features a warm, earthy ground and incorporates a very sophisticated floral design. Its craftsmanship is impressive, as its densely articulated floral pattern is meticulously and very finely executed. Bessarabian Kilims originate in the historical region of Bessarabia, which includes parts of modern-day Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania.
