Drawer Pulls: Pommel Knobs

Each Pommel Knob is cast in a round mold over spare pewter castings. The knobs acquire unique textures and patinas through shifting conditions of temperature and shape. The title “Pommel” recalls both the weighted knob of a sword hilt and the front unturned grip of a horse saddle. Though these reference functional parts of utilitarian objects, they have also historically been opportunities for adornment. Thoughtfully handmade, the editioned pieces exhibit subtle variations, and the threading can be customized to suit specific projects.
