Stephanie Nguyen (b. 1991, Oakland, CA) has practiced at Creative Growth since 2014. She is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in varied mediums from textiles and fashion design to collage and printmaking. Nguyen’s pieces are bright and complex, even kaleidoscopic in nature. She pays homage to her love of anime and pop-culture through vivid color and bold patterns. Nguyen often works on multiple pieces at a time. She takes a deliberate and process-driven pace, unafraid to step away from a project until it speaks to her again. She’s been known to collect trinkets and treasures, allowing them to find a home in her mixed media collages.
