Spider Table Lamp

Joe Colombo

Joe Colombo was an Italian industrial designer celebrated for his innovative approach to modular living systems as well as his designs for furniture, lighting and objects. He created his 393 Spider Table Lamp in the 1960s and is perhaps one of the most recognized works throughout his short lifetime. The light is made of metal which is enameled in a cheerful tangerine color, with an attached shade and arching stem that appears to slump or bow over a table or surface.

Illustrating Colombo’s preoccupation with function and flexibility, the lamp allows for a wide variety of uses and options for installation.
