Kristin Dickson-Okuda is an LA based designer who fronts concept studio Iko Iko. The studio reflects the different practices of Dickson-Okuda, such as her clothing line, Rowena Sartin - her work as a textile and object designer - and works by her partner/collaborator, furniture designer, Shin Okuda (WAKA WAKA).
What’s present with everything that Dickson-Okuda produces is her spirit of observation in the everyday. Combined with the rich textures, mediums and aesthetics, her work is sensitively balanced beyond any concept of time and trends. “Limits and restriction” are two things that Dickson-Okuda has admitted to being inspiration - showing how she can overcome in the simplest, yet most poetic, means possible.
