Cara holds a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and a background in museum and contemporary art archiving and curation at the South African National Gallery and Natural History Museum. Post graduation Cara lectured in printmaking and conceptual drawing at the Fine Art Department of the University of Cape while exhibiting her work both locally and internationally. After deciding on leaving academia Cara embarked on a practice in the field of ceramics. She has made and designed for clients such as Babylonstoren, the Newt, Pierce & Ward and Saved NYC. Her work has appeared in in the World of Interiors, House & Garden(UK), Homes & Antiques and Architectural Digest. Recent publications that includes her work: Ben Pentreath's, An English Vision (Rizzoli) and Mieke ten Have's, Interiors Styled by Mieke ten Have (Vendome).
